I knew I wanted to paint the room grey, but i wasn't sure what colors i wanted to accent it with. Ike was not very happy with me wanting to paint the room cause he is such a perfecitonist and hates painting, but he was a good sport and got it done for me! Ike and I didn't agree on what colors we wanted to do; he finally gave in and let me buy fabric for a crib quilt in the colors i wanted, blue, green, and orange. Well once we started to decorate i decided those colors were going to go very well with what we had bought. So we ended up doing red and black which is what Ike had wanted in the first place, i guess he got his way with his little boy and i will get my way when i have a little girl. I still kept the quilt i had made for the crib and use it (there was too much time put into it by my grandma and me to put it away and not use it). My mom had a changing table we used that we refinished black and then we found the dresser from feather your nest which we refinished too (i should say that ike refinished!). Ike was pretty proud of his skills and how good the furniture especially the dresser had turned out. He has done some furniture since then that has turned out way good, but that will have to be for another post. My mother-in-law was very kind and came over to help us get his room all decorated, there are still a couple of things i need to get for his shelf and then the canvas collage i am going to do on one of his walls, but other than that i am way pleased with how it all turned out.
