First Couple of Days

We were able to come home the early afternoon of the 6th.; we were welcomed by signs my sisters and brother had made. We just stayed home and relaxed that night and started to adjust to having a little one at home. My parents had been keeping Tyke so they brought him over in the evening to see what he would do with wytten; he wasn't too sure about him at first and wasn't liking that he wasn't getting all the attention like he was used to. But he is doing pretty good with him and we've had to get after him a couple of times, but nothin too serious. He is kind of protective of him and when i am feeding him or if we are sitting on the couch he has to sit right by my feet and doesn't move until I do. Wytten had a pretty good first night he slept for about 4 hrs and woke up to eat and get him bum changed and then went right back to sleep.

The 7th was my great grandma connie's birthday and they were going to lunch out at JC's diner; i told them we would just have to see how we were feeling and how wytten was doing whether or not we would come out. We went out there and wytten slept the whole time we all ate lunch; he was such a good boy. Later that night my parents were having a UFC fight party so we headed over there in the short time which we were there Wytten peed and it came out his diaper making his clothes wet and then while i was changing him on my moms bed he peed again getting her comforter wet. He wasn't a very happy camper after that little incident so we headed to come back home!

Ike's family had been gone to Island Park for the 4th of July so they hadn't got to see him yet; they got home on Sunday the 8th and came over to see little wytten boy. They all couldn't believe how small he was and how much he looked like me; they were all calling him little charlie. All Ike's family left and we just stayed home and relaxed some more...something which seemed to be a normal thing for us now. Ike was going to have to go back to work the following day so he pretty much mawled wytten and snuggled with him on the couch and took some naps and got him use to watching his normal tv shows which he watched on a normal basis.

The 9th of July was a hard day on the new dad...he went to work, but called every couple of hours to check on wytten and see how he was doing. My mom and marlie had to run to brigham so dixon came over and snuggled and held wytten while they were gone. Once they were home they came over and my mom and sister helped do stuff around my house which i hadn't gotten to. (something i really appreciated them doing) Wytten had his first dr. appt with dr miller; everything looked good. He was still at his birth weight which he was happy with cause most babies lose weight and they want them back up to their birth weight by 2 weeks, but not this kid he was one step ahead of everyone. We had to go and have his left ear tested again for hearing, it failed again, so we were referred over to logan to an audiologist. When we went over there he had a really hard time to get the probe to stay in his ear cause they were so small. Everything is just fine and we have nothing to worry about, he just has a really small ears and the farther you go his ear canal starts to get really narrow making it hard to get readings. Ike and I were both relieved to hear everything was okay.

Overall we adjusted pretty good; it is different to have not only worry and take care of yourself but to take care of a little one as well. He has been a pretty good sleeper so far he sleeps for about 3 to 4 hrs during the night and then wakes up to eat and generally will fall right back to sleep. He hated his bassinet and wouldn't sleep in there so he slept on our floor in his boppy pillow which he loves!
