For a couple of the girls value projects we decided we would walk to the temple. We walked a couple of the weeks before to kind of get ready, but I tell you what we sure didn't walk enough, I was so sore afterwards. We did the shorter version thank goodness, so we walked 13.2 miles from Bear River City to the Brigham City Temple. It was an amazing experience and a great testimony strengthener. I am glad I wasn't born during the pioneer time, I am not sure how they had the strength, faith, and courage to walk as much as they did. It was also a good bonding time with the girls. We talked the whole time, sharing stories, their future plans, high school, and lots more. It really helped me to get to know their personalities and the struggles which they go through. It was pretty good weather until towards the end, it started to rain pretty hard and the wind was blowing; it was so cold and my ears were starting to hurt, my hands and face was getting cold. Our last drink stop was at the bird refuge, and it was just starting to rain hard there, we could have easily all go in the car and drove the rest of the way to temple. But we all declined, we were so close and didn't want to give up. We made it to the temple and got a couple of pictures and then headed to Maddox to treat ourselves to some warm dinner and a warm car to sit in. This was such a great experience and I am glad the Laurels decided to do it and that I had to opportunity to join them.
this rainbow was a reminder from my grandpa in Heaven telling me to keep enduring to the end :)
