A Year Old Already??!

I can't believe a year has already come and gone, it seems like just yesterday I was waiting for him to be born. I can't believe the many changes that have occured in our lives this past year and the many many more that are going to happen. I have loved being able to watch him learn and grow, see his personality change, jabbering to us like he knows what he is saying, the way he looks at you with those big blue eyes when he is doing somethin he is not suppose to be doing. How do you say no and get mad at those eyes. It is crazy to look back at all his baby pictures and see how small he was and then how big he is now. I love to see he is growing up, but at the same time I hate it.

At a year old Wytten is 22 lbs 4 oz and 30 1/2 inches long...not doing too bad, but this kid needs to start growing. I don't understand why he isn't since how it seems like he is always eating. He now has 7 teeth and when he bites they do not feel very good. He has started this new thing where he sticks his fingers in his mouth and gags himself, starting to be bulimic already not sure what to do about that, sometimes he will get sick, but most the time he just gags thanksgoodness. To this day he still does this, not sure why. He finally mastered drinking from a straw, and he loves slushies just as much as me. Although he doesn't really like pop, 9 times out of 10 as soon as it hits his mouth it is right back out onto his clothes. He got to spend a couple of days with my mom, the hi-steppers and I at BDT camp...this poor kid is going to hate dancing here pretty soon for all that he has to go to with me. We went to Brigham Pool with my mom, sister, and brother for the first and probably the last time this summer, and he absolutley loved it. He didn't want me to hold him he just wanted to sit in the shallow end and allow him to do what he wanted. At our family reunion we put him in a swing for the first time, he loved it. Now if we could just get our backyard done so we could get one for him to play on. He still isn't walking he will stand and take a couple of steps but doesn't seem to interested. He can crawl too fast so he would rather do that.

Well Wytten Boy Mom and Dad love you so very much and are excited for you to continue to grow and watch you throughout your life. Love You Bunches!!

Island Park

The Williams Family Reunion was the Sunday the family was leaving to head up to Island Park, Ike had to work that night so we went to the reunion then headed back home so he could get to work and get everything loaded up, and get the ranger ready. Ike got home from work the following morning and we headed up around 9; it was a very long ride, Wytten was so tired that he cried the almost the whole way up, poor Kass who had to listen to it the entire time as well. The day we got up there we headed into West Yellowstone and did some shopping and walked around. The following day we headed up to Jackson Hole, I was excited to go since how I have never been up there and everyone is always talking about it. We shopped there as well and walked around looking at all the different sites; I couldn't believe how expensive everything was there, I found a dress I liked, looked at the price tag $219.00, it definitely wasn't that cute. We did however find a really good gelato place that we stopped at. It was delicious. We debated on going back again before we left. The next day we floated the river. It never fails we always end up getting into water fights with the other rafts in the family. Wytten hated it when they would start splashing us, he screamed so I tried to make sure he was covered and he screamed during that as well. It was pretty funny though how drenched we would get and then we would call truths...which never means anything with Ike's family. The next day we headed into the park to go to Old Faithful and then we decided we wanted to continue with the loop and see if we could see any other animals. We say some elk and lots of buffalo. There was a huge heard of buffalo that were starting to cross the road in front of us so we stopped so we could get some good pictures. Then they almost started fighting right in front of our car and almost hit it, needless to say Ike was freaking out about his car and hoping they didn't hit it. We got back into West Yellowstone and thought we would try and find a cake since how it was Wyttens birthday so we could sing to him. We couldn't find one anywhere, finally found a ice cream cake at Dairy Queen, they had two, the only two that existed in West Yellowstone. The guy that helped Ike was arab and he told him to come around back, so Ike goes to the back and the guy tells him to come in, so he is standing where they are cooking the food waiting for the guy to get the cakes. First of all it was freakin expensive, second the guy didn't know what kinds either of them were, third it wasn't decorated so Ike asked him if he could atleast write Happy Birthday Wytten Boy on it. He had no idea how to spell Hapy Birthday and then as you will see in the picture below it looks like a kindergartner wrote on it. It was pretty funny the things you happen when you are on vacation. We got back to the cabin and hurry and sang to wytten then headed to go and watch the fireworks. Wytten loved them, thank goodness, he was so tired, yet so amazed by them he just sat and stared at them. The following day we woke up and got everything packed up and cleaned and then headed on our way home. The trailer that had the ranger on it got two flat tires on the way home, it took us forever to get home. We only had one spare tire with us so when the second one blew we had to try and find a tire shop close by and buy another one so we could continue on home. We found one close by, made our way to the shop, got two new tires on and then continued home. Also during our week stay Ike and Zac were sleeping out on the deck of the cabin and Ike had a bat land on him in the night when he was sleeping. On the girls morning run they came across a mom and baby moose that was fairly close to them and later on came over by our cabin and we watched them for awhile.

Needless to say Island Park was a pretty adventurous and memorable trip this year!! Can't wait until we go again next year and what memories we will make.
