Memorial Day!

Memorial Day weekend we generally will pull the trailer up to Plymouth Mountain and camp and then go with Ikes family Sunday moring and Monday. Ike ended up having to work, so we figured it wouldn't be worth it to pull the trailer up, so we went up Saturday for the day, had breakfast, ate lunch and played minute to win it, our family won by the way!!! Then later that night they were celebrating Ozzie's birthday so we came home and headed there to have dinner, cake, and ice cream. This day also marked 5 years since my Grandpa Lynn Died. It is crazy to think it has been that long ago since it he was so sick and passed away. I am not the best granddaughter and go and visit his grave as often as I should, but I think about him often and am looking forward to the day when we are reunited as a family. Love you so much Grandpa, Lucy Jo!!

Sunday I had to teach Young Womens so Ike took Wytten with him and they headed with his famliy
out to Rupert, Idaho to visit Grandma Williams Parents graves and then they always go out to eat somewhere (generally it is wendys cause grandpa williams is a picky eater). When they got home we headed down to the Newman party at Hansen Park, we ate, took some family pictures, and then headed to the graves in bothwell and let balloons go. Then headed to Robbie's birthday party where we ate some cake and ice cream again. (May is just filled with birthdays...love all the cake and ice cream we get to eat!)

Monday we headed to Malad to go see grandpa williams parents graves and little Randy Jays as well as some of his siblings that have passed away. After we visit the graves we go out to Samaria to a little store called The Blue Goose. It is the cutest little store that has the oldest man working in there. Everyone loads up a baggie of treats and then we head on out to Aunt Bonnie's for some lunch. When the Williams' party they like to go big, so we are usually all crammed in a small house and if it is nice we end up eating outside to get some fresh air. This year Ike thought it would be fun for his family and Sandy and Marcs family to go up to the weer (not sure how to spell it) and go swimming and let them see what it is since how all the girls have never been up there. It is for sure a redneck of a good time. They have a plastic slide that goes into the creek and then the weer where they jump off cement into the water. It is freezing cold water and was even colder where it was the first part of summer. we even talked halee, kamryn, and kass to go down the slide. Pretty good entertainement.

Memorial Day is always a crazy and hectic weekend, sometimes so crazy it is hard to enjoy it. But we managed to spend time with both sides of the family so we will call it an accomplished weekend. :)

Not Sure How I Feel About It!!

Those who read my blog, have already called and asked my what this post was all about so I really shouldn't have to write it, but I will for my sake to remember. We were headed to Tawnies house to celebrate a birthday and the bishopric called Ike and asked if we could come by the church. We were already running late, but we said that we could. Ike told me he was pretty sure it was for me since how he was most likely not going to be getting a new calling cause of his work schedule. I was just barely starting to feel comfortable in Activity Days which I had only been in for about 6 months, and was getting to know the girls. Well, Ike was right, it was for me. They asked me if I would accept the calling of Laurels Advisor in the Young Womens. First that came to my mind was I am not old enough to teach these girls, and I am only 5 years older than them. It was kind of nerve wracking and I wasn't really sure how I felt about it, like the title of the post says! I accepted the calling and was hoping all would go well and that not only me, but my family would be blessed from it as well.

It has been about a month since the new presidency has been in, I have only had to teach once so far, and it wasn't too bad. definitely will have to work on that and build up the confidence to not have it be such a scary thing for me to do. We have had lots of fun so far and I am hoping it will only continue to get better. Quite a few of the girls are not far in Personal Progress, so we are going to put an extra focus on that, after stake camp is over with that is. So if anyone has any suggestions on ways to encourage them and get them excited about it let me know.

I am grateful that I accepted the calling and I can tell how it has blessed my life already. It has helped me to grow in the gospel and be a better church member and still could be better. It has helped me get to know more people in my ward and let it feel more like a family ward now. I am grateful for Ike and for the priesthood which he holds and for the opportunity I have to have blessings when life gets hard. God always give me comfort through blessings and lets me know that it will be okay and everything will work out how it is suppose to. Though they don't always answer the things I want them to, he provides me with guidance in the things he knows are the most important for me in my life. I have loved being able to read through my patriarchal blessing and see the things that are mentioned and how many of them have happened already in my life and am excited for the many more things that have been promised to me, if I can live righteously.

10 Months Old

We haven't been to the doctor since his 9 month checkup so I am not sure his height or weight. All I know is that he is getting heavier each day and his feet are really starting to hang out of his carseat; he needs a new one I just don't want to give in and buy one cause that means is he all grown up. He is still in 12 month clothes and still wearing size 3 diapers. Wytten thought he would be funny and lot like his binki anymore and would just play with it then throw it and spit it out. I thought this was maybe just a phase, but nope still doesn't like it so he no longer has a binki. He had his first human like throw up, he had just ate a bottle and some squash and I was holding him cause he didn't act like he felt very good, then it happened all over me, him, and the couch. It was delicious and hope he doesn't get sick any more for a while. When he is getting sleepy and falling asleep he will grab the edge of his blanket and hold it and rub it along his nose and will eventually fall asleep. He has looked like a hillbilly for a while now because of his top side tooth that came in before his middle ones, hopefully they will come in soon so he doesn't look funny much longer. He has learned to smack his lips and make a kissy face and gommer face, so funny! He gives the best open mouth slobber kisses, I just love them everytime he is willing to give them away. We also learned that he is turning into a tender hearted boy, until he is big and can beat up on the others kids. He went over and stayed at Mimi's house (grandma sheri) and would be just fine as long as he was being left alone and no others kids were bugging him, but as soon as one took his toy, looked at his wrong, or touched him he would just start to cry. He definitely needs to start being around kids more and not so spoiled or else we are going to be in lots of trouble. He is such a mommas boy and I just love it, although he doesn't seem to say momma much....just dadda. We'll have to start working on that!! :)

Spring Break

My family was going down to salt lake to stay at the new hotel that has the mini water park in it out by the maverik center and also wanted to go to the zoo. Ike and I had been talking about taking Wytten to the zoo sometime, but it was still a little cold and still don't know how the weather is ever going to turn out. They had asked us to tag along, but weren't sure where Ike would just be gettin off from graves the day before. Well when it got closer it was suppose to be cold and rain the day they wanted to go to the zoo, so they decided to go to the living planet aquarium instead. Ike and I had been there before when we were still dating, so it had been a while so we thought we could tag along possibly depending on how he was feeling after work. When it came right down to it, we decided we would go down, but wasn't sure if we would stay or not so we packed stuff just in case.

We arrived at the Living Plant Aquarium, it was pretty packed, but Wytten seemed to like it so thats all the matters. After we got done there, we headed over to Scheels, half the family had been there and the rest of us hadn't. Absolutely loved the fish tanks they have and the ferris wheel though we didn't ride it cause we didn't want to wait in line for an hour! Pretty darn sure i could put some damage on my bank account in that store as well as Ike....lets just say we would be totally broke. We got done at Scheels and headed out to our hotel to find somewhere we eat....went to the norm Chili's and i got the norm Turkey Club (we are not very adventureous people when it comes to food). It was late enough after we ate that we decided we would stay down and let Wytten swim and then head home tomorrow early afternoon. We were lucky we got to the hotel when we did, we took the very last room they had available, that was a close one. We walked by the pool, holy people everywhere swimming away; they could not keep the towels washed and dried for people to use when they got out. The pool was really packed, but there was still room for us to let Wytten play and splash in the water; he even went down the slide a couple of times. Oh how he just loves the slide, that is going to have to be a purchase we make here pretty soon for him.

The next morning we went down had our breakfast, got in our comfy clothes and headed home so we could go to Markells bridal shower later that day. The girls and Wytten headed home in one car and the boys headed home in another, they were going to a couple of fish stores. We got home and got the present then my mom, wytten and me headed over to aunt lori's house for the shower. The food at her house never disappoints and i always over eat. Markell looked like she had gotten a lot of stuff and i am so happy for her to get married, but sad that she is moving down to salt lake. The rest of the day we just bummed around the house doing odds and ends and watched conference.

Conference Sunday is always a good day, you get to stay in your comfy clothes and be inspired by the leaders of this wonderful church. I can't wait to go back and read through their talks and get even more out of them. I will say it is not as easy to pay attention and listend with a 9 months old as it was when it was just Ike and I. After the first session of conference we headed over to my mom and dads to help my dad and dixon with their fish tanks so we ended up watching the second session over at their house. If you weren't able to watch conference and get spiritually uplifted, you can watch all of the talks here and be able to feel of your dear saviors love for you and how he can speak to each and every one of us through the leaders of this church.

9 Months Old

Each month seems to keep going by faster and faster and I am way behind on blogging about Wyttens past month and the changes that have came about. Well we visited the doctor once again for an ear infection, third one so far (hopefully he grows out of it like the doctor says), and for his 9 month check up. He weighed in at 20 lbs 4 oz and was 30 inches long. He is doing well and just needs to keep eating and getting to be a cuter chubby little boy.

Well since last month he has broken through another tooth next to his other one on the bottom, his top gums look pretty swollen but nothing has came through yet. He is still wearing size 3 diapers, dwindling down on size 9 clothes and moving up to 12 month clothes.  He is officialy crawling on hands and knees, can go from sitting to crawling and vice versa...he is into everything and goes everywhere. He loves to stand up next to the tv and trys to grab the emblems some of the channels have on the lower right corner, so funny to watch. Loves to play with cords and lights especially my computer. He loves to suck on lots of things and pulled the kitchen table chair down on him cause he was pulling on ikes jacket. He still is not a very good veggie eater and will gag when he does eat them, i try and trick him with half veggies and half fruit so i can atleast get him to eat some veggies. He will eat tykes food, well he tries and has gotten it in his mouth a couple of times before i catch him and notice what he is doing and have to dig it out. I guess Ike use to eat dog food too, so hopefully it is not a genetic thing and he is going to want to eat dog food. We are still practicing walking, he just pushes his motorcycle til he can't reach anymore then falls to his knees. Well Wytten you are getting so big, too big, and i wish that you would just stop it. Love you so much!!
