Ketchup Time!!

Since i have posted last we have had quite a few things happen in our lives first off the most exciting thing was going to Nauvoo. There is such a different spirit and feeling when you are walking around the grounds there. My wonderful grandma took all of her amazing kids and grandkids to Nauvoo--we took up to whole plane besides maybe 20 seats and easily filled a whole wagon ride session. I had an amazing time there and it was able to build my testimony immensly by learning more about all the saints went through during those years and the many sacrifices they made. I don't know if i would have been able to make and do some of the things they had to; i definitely know it would be a trial to go through the things they did. We had the opportunity to do a session in the Nauvoo temple which will definitely be an experience i will never forget. There were 38 of us that went and we all seemed to have a good ole hot n' sweaty time there; it never failed that it felt good in the rooms we stayed in but as soon as you walked out you would already start to feel sticky from the humidity. On our way to Nauvoo we stopped and saw Ike's old bishops family, it was cool to see their reaction, he didn't recognize him at first and did a double take before realizing who it was and giving him a big hug. It was cool to see how ike's face would lite up when he was walking to their door to see some of the people he grew to love and look up to.

Ike has set a tradition to do the 24th celebration car show out to Tremonton ever since they have had it, besides for the 2 years he was on his mission. This year he had the honors of winning the enitre car show and getting a big tool piece set and a power washer. He was excited that all of his hard work on his truck has paid off; hopefully sometime down the road he will be able to finish doing what he has planned and would like to do on the inside as well as the out.

Our families had a couple of reunions we had to miss because of work and i had finals...which i am glad to have over with and be able to have a couple weeks break before i start up again. We were bummed we couldn't go to bear lake or island park and hope our families understood how much we missed not going to spend time with them. Hopefully i won't have to take summer classes next year and can have a good summer spent with my husband and our families. On this same weekend one of my best friends (Amigo 3--Cami) got married; I was honored to be one of her many bridesmaids and be able to sit at the book with Amigo 2--Josi. I was able to be in the sealing room with her and austin and oh how it was such a different feeling and not as nerve racking as when you are the one being sealed. They seemed so happy to be together and i am excited for the two of them to start this new chapter in their lives. Now its time to work on Josi to get married so we can have amigo fun along with our husbands and do wild and crazy things.

Well i guess we will just have to wait and see what new and exciting things will happen in the next couple of weeks. I am off to eat lunch with my grandma and attempt to make some yoga pants. I'll post pictures afterward if they end up working out!! :)

Couple of Weeks

This semester of school has not been too bad besides be procrastinating my online class that i had and thought i was going to fail. I took my midterm and 3 quizzes the last week possible to take them; yep that is what i call procratinstion. For a while i thought i was going to fail the class meaning i wouldn't graduate with my associates and would have to retake the dumb class again. luckily i pulled it off with a B and don't have to retake the class. I retook physiology and did a lot better than the D+ i got last semester...pulled it off with a B; hopefully that is good enough and i won't have to retake it to get into the program i am wanting to. I can't believe i have finished my sophomore year of school, its crazy to think about...but at the same time it feels like forever and that i will be going to school for the rest of my life. I am glad to have atleast a 2 week break from school, then its back to school i go and start full time at my job. Guess we'll see how that one turns out!! I am excited for the summer and the many adventures we are going to go on and new things that will happen in our lives. Hopefully we can be able to get our yard in so its not a yard of weeds and can get our driveway and parking poured up. We finished up our kitchen besides getting a new door which we should be getting soon; so i will post some before and after pictures of those another time.

Tyke!

Tyke is such a big part of our life and i honestly don't know what we would do with our time if we didn't have him to play with and have to watch and worry about all the time. It is honestly like having a child. So when he lived with my parents my dad taught him how to sit down, Ike then proceeded to teach him how to lay down, and this trick is his latest, how to roll over. It is so funny to watch him do it, cause he does it so fast so he can get his treat. He absolutely loves cheerios they are his favorite, along with rice cakes, and rice chex. When ever you can't find him or want him to come back inside the house all you have to say is "Tyke you want a treat" and he will come running inside or over to you so he can have one. I am glad to have tyke to keep me company when ike is at work, it helps it to not be so quiet around the house! Enjoy the video!! :)

Surprise Trip!!

A couple of weeks ago i came home from work and Ike said to hurry and get changed and finish packing my bags; i asked why and he wouldn't tell, but eventually i got it out of him. He had made reservations at the Hilton in downton SLC for us to stay at that night. We headed down to salt lake and went to eat at chili's then went to the hotel and got all checked in. On Saturday we slept in for awhile and then woke up to get ready for the temple, the then ventured off to eat lunch at wingers and then to find parking for the temple. We arrived at the temple to a warm and cheerful smile from the old man at the recommend booth and then onto the dressing rooms where we were greeted again. We did a session which at the Salt Lake temple is a live one, which was cool to take part in and something different then you see in most. When we were sitting in the first room a cute old lady was sitting next to me, she tapped on my shoulder and then leaned over to say it is so good to see young couples at the temple. It was good to hear her say that and made my time even more special. When in the Celestial Room Ike asked me a weird question, which he later told me about; when he told me what it was about i just started crying and knew that i was loved. After we finished up at the temple, we headed over to the gateway to do some shopping and then headed back home. By the time we got back to the car, my feet were killing me, never wear heels for that long of a time period when you haven't wore them in awhile. It was a short, but sweet trip down to Salt Lake, one i will never forget; i am glad my husband is so sporadic and loves to do fun spur of the moment things. I don't ever know what i would do without him; i love him so much and am excited to spend the rest of my life with him.
we did a session at the salt lake temple...something
that was so amazing and that i'll never forget
the hotel we stayed at...which had a great view on the 18th floor :)

New Life!!

Ike and I have started our new life together....we have finally got all of our stuff at our house and it is starting to feel more like a home. We have got decorations on the walls, but are still looking around for some more to make it our home. We are starting to make improvements, but aren't sure which room to start with first, it will either be the kitchen or the bathroom. Tyke has adjusted fine and likes his new house as well. He has many spots where he loves to lay down and sleep, which is mainly either the couch or the rugs in the kitchen. We are excited for the many adventures this year will bring to us.....later this year we are going to Island Park and to Nauvoo and we can't wait for the many other camping trips and family reunions we will participate in. We will also be putting a sprinkling system, pouring cement, and putting a yard in, so we will have many things to keep us busy! Hopefully all is going well for all of you!! :)
